It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Samuel Patrick MacNamara on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Samuel was a proud East Coaster, Irishman, Businessman and Family Man. Born August 8, 1943 in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Sam slowly began moving west. While residing in Montreal, in 1967, he met then married Margaret and they started their wonderful life together. From there, they moved the family to Ontario. Sam grew his legacy through his ventures in the oil and gas industry where he created opportunities and friendships with people throughout York region and beyond. To know Sam, was to love him. He was an avid fisherman, and the best fisherman he knew. Sam was a gentleman with a heart of gold and always enjoyed sharing his successes with his family and friends.
Sam had the opportunity to travel all across North America, creating friendships along the way. In his later years he and Margaret established a winter home in Winter Garden, Florida. There, they made wonderful memories with family and great new friends.

Samuel joins his late son-in-law Rick in Heaven. He is survived by his doting wife Margaret, their 7 children, Debbie (Don), Susan (Frankie), Gwen (Ladd), Donna (Rick), Elizabeth (Bob), Marilyn (Alec) and Shawn (Yvonne), their 14 grandchildren, Mark, Kristina, Brett, Blaise, Bryce, Samantha, Robert, Maggie, Erika, Molly, Montana, Savannah, William and Jacob, and their 2 great-grand children Cooper and Layla.

A world without Sam is like a river without fish, it keeps flowing but is seemingly empty.
