It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Joseph Lovsin. Joe passed in his sleep, on June 6, 2023, at the age of 91. He lived a long and fulfilling life, leaving behind a legacy of hard work and dedication that will be remembered by all who knew and loved him.
Joseph was born an only child and lived a modest upbringing. However, he was relentless in his pursuit of knowledge and education. This drive led him to become the first person from his hometown to earn a university degree. His hard work and intelligence did not go unnoticed as he became an esteemed engineer at the University of Toronto.
Joseph was not only a remarkable individual in his career but also a loving family man. He expanded his family by marrying the love of his life Mary Lovsin who preceded him in death in the year 2010. Together they had two children, Kimberly and Glen who inherited Joseph's tenacity.
Joseph was a devoted grandfather to his three grandchildren, always making sure to show his support in their pursuits just as he did with his own children. He was a man who understood the importance of family, loyalty, and commitment.
Although Joseph has passed away, his memory lives on in the hearts of his loved ones and all those he touched throughout his life. There will be no public service, but a private family gathering will be held to honor his memory. His loss is deeply felt by all who knew him, and he will be missed dearly.
