1947 – 2023

It is with heartfelt sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Pamela Lynn Kostecki. After an unexpected illness Pamela passed away peacefully on December 7th, 2023, in her 77th year, at St. Catharines General Hospital.

Pamela is survived by her brother, James Servos (Sylvie), her sister, Jan Levesque (Greg), sons, Christopher Kostecki (Mira), Robert Kostecki (Katy), her grandchildren, Jessica, Cameron, Kylie, Braedan, Cody, Connor, Cole and Mason. Pamela will also be greatly missed by her great-grandson, Michael-John and her nephews, Alex (Kayte), and MacKenzie. She is predeceased by her father, Norman Servos, her mother, Shirley Servos (nee Williams), and her son Michael Kostecki.

Pam will forever be remembered for her love of teaching children. Pam went to Teachers College and began teaching in St. Catharines. Later in life she obtained her BA from York University and resumed her teaching career. Pamela was an excellent teacher and especially enjoyed teaching JK-Grade 2. She knew how to make learning and teaching fun, entertaining and knew how to build a foundation to last a lifetime.

Pamela raised her family in Newmarket, Ontario and loved to spend the summers with her family at the cottage on Lake of Bays, just 4 cottages down from her parents, before moving back to her hometown of St. Catharines where she spent her final years enjoying life and caring for her beloved dog, Gizmo.

Pamela will also be fondly remembered for her love of animals. From riding horses as a girl, to raising racoons, and all the dogs and cats in between, Pamela’s love and generosity towards animals will live on forever.

In accordance with Pamela’s wishes, cremation has taken place. A Graveside Service will take place at a later date; at Victoria Lawn Cemetery.  More details will be provided once they are confirmed. The family requests that those who wish to express their sympathy consider making a donation in Pamela’s name to the OSPCA or an Animal Rescue organization of your choice.  Please consider sharing a memory or story of Pam at www.hulseandenglish.com for her family.
