It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow that we confirm that our beloved mother, Odette Jolivel, passed away on January 30, 2024, at Southlake Hospital after a brief illness. She died peacefully in her sleep at the age of 87.
Odette was born on February 28, 1936 in Switzerland. She decided to travel to Canada, when she was in her twenties, to be a nanny. There, she met Andre Jolivel and they wed in 1957, going on to have 3 children, Christine, Paul and Yannick.
She is now reunited with the love of her life, Andre and leaves behind her children Christine (Todd) Beynon, Paul (Jane) Jolivel and Yannick Jolivel; her grandchildren Chantel (Donnie Saviak;) Jolivel, Katelyn (Casey) Rodrigues, Josh (Jewell Kidd) Beynon, Adam (Brittney) Jolivel, Katrina Jolivel, Jasmine Jolivel, Neal Beynon and Dylan Jolivel; and her pride and joy, great grandchildren, Callie, Zoe, Weston, Nora, Sophie and Cayden.
She enjoyed life by knitting beautiful outfits and sweaters for her loved ones, going to the trailer, spending time with her family, visiting friends and bragging about her 6 great grandchildren. She was always available to help out anyone that needed help.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to a charity of your choice. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
