Robert William Harris passed away peacefully and surrounded by family at Margaret Bahen Hospice on Monday April 15th 2024, at the age of 74.
Loving husband of Karen, married for 52 years. Beloved father of Dawn and Kimberley (Richard) Harris, Proud Grandfather of Owen, Olivia, Camryn, Griffin & Sarah. Beloved Uncle of Jami and Samantha. Survived by his sister Cheryl Van Grootel.
Predeceased by his loving mother Irene (Mickey) and his father Robert William Harris and sister Sandy Castator.
Born June 12th 1949 in Victoria, British Columbia. He joined the Metropolitan Toronto Police Department at age 18, where he served for 33 years. Upon retirement he enjoyed building and flying model airplanes, driving chartered trips and school busses for Parkview Transit and York Regional Police Service for the past 20 years. He loved spending summers at the cottage, travelling and spending time with family and friends. He was always quick witted with sarcastic comments and enjoyed telling stories about his days while on the police department. He will be deeply missed by so many.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home located at 157 Main St, South, Newmarket on April 25th, 2024, from 1-3 pm.
