Passed away peacefully at Mackenzie Health Hospital in Richmond Hill, on Thursday December 14th, 2023 in his 80th year.
Loving husband of predeceased wife Marilynne Elizabeth Gross (nee Strachan) of 24 years.
Beloved father of Douglas (Gail), Paula, and his stepdaughters (the late Sandra), Susie (Richard) and Shanon.
Proud grandfather of Jordyn, Hayden, Evan, Joshua, Jonah, Taylor, Dylan, Sydney, Zachary, Tyler, Rachel, Max, Jamie, Tanner and Dawson.
Brother of Douglas (Diana), Jeannette (the late Andy).
Son of Hermann Gross and Elie Agnes (nee Thomsen).
Paul lived life to the fullest.
He started his career in electrical as a member of the IBEW353 Toronto. He opened several companies and ventures along the way spending most of his career as the VP and CEO of CDA industries Inc.
He loved to work, travel the world, the outdoors and sports. He was an avid golfer and bowler. Most of all he loved people. Family and friends came first.
Paul was a Master Freemason of the York Masonic Temple, a Rameses Shriner, former president of Cedar Brae Golf Club, former president of his Condo Corp, and a volunteer at Rouge Valley Hospital among countless other ventures throughout his life.
He will be dearly missed by family, friends and all those whose lives he touched.
A memorial Service will be held at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home (157 Main Street S, Newmarket) on Saturday January 6th at 5 pm followed by a Celebration of Life from 6-8 pm.
