November 11, 1932 -- August 17, 2023
Jacquelene Grimes, known to all as Jacky, passed away on August 17 in Newmarket, Ontario.
It was the town she loved and the place where she raised her three boys with husband, Burt. Over the course of her life, Jacky lost her beloved Burt, her youngest son David and her oldest son Bradley, finding the love and support she needed from her surviving son Bryan, her family and friends, and her community. She became president of the UCW at Trinity United Church, member of PROBUS, and 5-pin bowling master. She took great pride in her yard and garden which she carefully tended for 63 years.
And through it all, she was always coiffed to perfection thanks to her weekly never-to-be missed hair appointment (thank you Darlene). Jacky had a deep interest in the history and stories of Newmarket. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the newmarkethistoricalsociety.ca.
A graveside service will be held at Newmarket Cemetery on Monday August 28 at 1 p.m.
