It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our wife, mother and grandmother, Deanna “Lynn” Gorman. Lynn passed on Dec 10, 2023.
Lynn was born in Toronto, Ontario on Oct 7, 1948 to parents Stanley and Aldean Wilson. There were 6 siblings altogether; Glen, Lynn, Gayle, Judy, Debbie and Gary. The family lived in Toronto where she met her soon-to-be husband, Robert Gorman. The couple were married on June 6, 1970 and moved to Newmarket shortly after. They had 3 children Melissa, Michelle and Michael. Lynn also has 5 grandchildren; Kenzie, Lauren, Van, Noah and Bailey.
Lynn enjoyed travelling with her family, having coffee with friends, telling jokes with her grandson, trying new recipes with one granddaughter, watching Criminal Minds with the other granddaughter and (of course) her weekly visits to the Bingo Hall!
A Visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive in Newmarket, on Tuesday December 19, 2023 from 3:00pm-4:00pm followed by a Funeral Service at 4:30pm in the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel. A Reception will follow the service from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Taylor Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you consider donating to the Canadian Mental Health Association or to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
