March 1st, 1945 - January 21st, 2024

Dale Ronald Farren, originally of Snowball, ON, lately of Spring Bay, Manitoulin Island, Ontario, passed away peacefully at Mindemoya Hospital after a short illness, surrounded by his family.
Dale is survived by his wife Lois, his son Greg and wife Sandi as well as his daughter Cheryl.

Dale was born in Newmarket and lived his whole life in Snowball, retiring to the lake house on Manitoulin Island in 2022. He was the owner of Dale Farren and Son Trenching Limited, and operated the business for many years with his son Greg. He Installed many septic systems in the King City area, and plowed and salted countless miles of roads for the region of York in the city of Vaughan.

Dale led a full life travelling frequently to stock car races all over North America, often at a moment’s notice. It was common to head out to New Hampshire, Maine, New York, Ohio or anywhere a good race was.
He had a nickname for everyone and was fondly referred to as “Gomer”. He loved running machinery and made sure to have a variety of equipment and machinery available to him for his retirement on the Island. He was on a bulldozer in December 2023 moving rocks, he moved a lot of rocks.

Dale didn’t mince words, was not politically correct, never coddled any one and could be counted on to tell it like it is, with no sugar coating. He had many, many, friends and was fiercely loyal to his friends and family.
He has left a void in this world that will never be filled. He will be missed every day.
