Passed away peacefully at Southlake Regional Health Centre on Thursday July 27, 2023, at 70 years of age. Loving husband of Jacqueline (nee Thompson) Edwards. Beloved father of Lisa Charles, Brent Gibson, and Kyle Edwards. Proud grandfather of Terry, Krystal, Alex, Jenna and Naomi. Great grandfather of Erica, Zack, Vincent, and Serena. Survived by his sisters, Jane (Stewart Knapp) and Connie and his brother Murray. Predeceased by his sister Susan. Cherished son of the late Clifford and Jean Edwards.
A retired entrepreneur plumber. He also worked in shipping and receiving. Douglas enjoyed working with his hands at home with his crafts and hobbies. He loved being around family and friends, telling jokes and stories. He will be truly missed.
Visitation will be held at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street, South, Newmarket on Friday August 4, 2023, from 10 – 11 a.m. followed by a memorial service in the chapel at 11 a.m.
