With great sadness, we announce the passing of Stephanie, at Southlake Hospital on Sunday March 31st, 2024 just after 11PM; at the age of 48. In her final days and hours she was surrounded by loving family and friends; too many to keep track of. She passed away peacefully, in her sleep, ending years of suffering and a painful battle with her health.
Loving wife of Peter Howie for almost 8 years. Proud mother of Alexis, Rylee, and Gracie. Much loved grandmother of Ali and Karlie. Beloved sister of Kristine, Brittney, Ricki, Katelyn, Amanda, and Tracey. Cherished daughter of Paul Fleming and the late Teresa McShane. Stephanie will be greatly missed by her huge extended family and friends.
Stephanie was born in Scarborough on July 5th, 1975, grew up in Keswick, and lived in Newmarket for the past 10 years. She was a cook with her own restaurant in Mount Albert, Stephanie's Country Kitchen; and a mother to three kids, a secretary, and a nursing home manager. She was adored by so many for her humour, passion, smart wit, strength, and stubborn will; and also her absolutely delicious cooking.
As per Stephanie's desires no memorial service will be conducted and she was cremated on April 3rd, 2024. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her three children.
A Celebration of her life will be held on the weekend of her birthday in July; with details to be shared at a later date.
