Passed away peacefully with family by her side at Southlake Residential Care Village on Monday February 12, 2024, she was in her 101st year. Reunited with her beloved husband, the late Howard “Duke” Dennis. Loving mother of Shirley (Rick Charles) and Howard (Barb). Proud grandmother of David (Sylvia), Blake (Jenn), Sherry (Mike), Corey (Kasey) and Chris (Shelley) and great grandmother of Sara (Sam), Kelleigh, Emma, Zach, Chase, Megan, Evan, Brooklyn, Cole, and Riley. She is survived by her cherished sister, Mary Isabel Moreau.
Hattie was a woman of immense intelligence, displaying a brilliant mind that continually amaze those around her. She had a lifelong career in administration and bookkeeping. Shortly after high school, she began her career at the Office Specialty and various businesses in the area. In her younger days, she found joy in many activities such as ice skating, bowling, and dancing. Hattie and her husband would be found square dancing on Saturday nights.
Visitation will be held at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Tuesday February 20, 2024, from 11 – 12 p.m. A funeral service will follow in chapel at 12 noon. All are invited to join the family for refreshment in the Reception Room. Hattie will be laid to rest at Queensville Cemetery at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Southlake Residential Care Village.
