Born in Markham, on June 19, 1924, the third of seven children of Hugh Arthur Boyd and Ruby Irene Batt, Doreen passed away peacefully at Sunrise of Aurora, on Tuesday, March 5, 2024, in her 100th year.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband Ralph Denne, daughter Marian Lynskey, and siblings Jean Frost, Bertha Rudolff, Arnold Boyd (Pat), Eldon Boyd (Ruth), and Arthur Boyd (Joan).
She will be sadly missed by her loving son Morley Denne (Patti), cherished grandchildren Claybourne Denne (Alicia), Katrina Denne, Alex Denne (Carol) and Kelsey Denne (Colby Wiley); her great-grandchildren Dylan Verge, Logan Denne, Charlotte Denne, Maddison Denne, Jason Wiley, and Ruby Wiley; her sister Vivian Fletcher, as well as many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the staff at Sunrise of Aurora who made Doreen feel so comfortable and supported during her time in their care.
Visitation will be held at the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Sunday, March 10 from 6-8 p.m., and Monday, March 11, 2024, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m., followed by a short break. Funeral service will be held in the chapel at 1 p.m.

All are invited to join the family for a luncheon following the service. Doreen will be laid to rest privately at Newmarket Cemetery.
