Passed away peacefully at Margaret Bahen Hospice on Sunday, April 9th in his 90th year.
Devoted husband of the late Mary Leona Cullum (Hachey).
Beloved father of Robert (Valerie), Rodney (Carolyn), and Brenda (Gordon Shergold).
Proud grandfather of Christopher (Ashley) Cullum, Bridget (Jesse) Joyce, Matthew (Danyelle) Cullum, Amy Peoples (Mike Groves), Adam (Dalice) Peoples, and Taylor Cullum.
Great grandfather of Hope, Gabriel, Emma Leigh, Sadie (late), Paisley, Mayson, River, Blake-Lee, Jackson, Zackary, Lennon, Miller and Charlotte.
Predeceased by brothers Robert, Roy and Frederick. Son of the late John and Clara Cullum (Williams).
After 8 years service with the Canadian Armed Forces, William worked with Frigidaire, and then General Motors, before retirement 31 years ago.
The family would like to thank the dedicated doctors and nurses at Southlake Regional Health Centre, and the many doctors William saw over the years. Special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and volunteers at Margaret Bahen Hospice who treasured his final days with him.
Visitation will take place at Roadhouse and Rose Funeral Home (157 Main Street South, Newmarket) on Sunday, April 16th from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, with a service in the chapel commencing at 12:00 P.M. Following the service, friends are invited to join the family at the Newmarket Legion (707 Srigley St, Newmarket) for a reception.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, which is a cause close to William’s heart, or to the Margaret Bahen Hospice.
