It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Louise at Eagle Terrace LTC, Newmarket on February 28, 2024 in her 93rd year. Beloved wife of the late John Cox (2017) of 72 years. Loving mother of Steven (Alexandra) and Michele (David). Cherished Grandmother to Brittany, Chelsey and Johnathan.
After arriving in Canada on their "honeymoon" in 1952, it wasn't long after they made the decision to stay. Her first job was a switchboard operator with The Toronto Real Estate Board. Then later on working in a Jewellery Store. In her retirement she volunteered with Southlake Regional Health Care Centre, with her husband and they also entertained many seniors in retirement/nursing homes.
A visitation will take place at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket 647-362-8705 on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. followed by a Service in the Chapel at 12:30 p.m. A reception will be held following the service at Taylor Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Louise's name can be made to Diabetes Canada.
