He passed away peacefully on the evening of April 6th. His son Kevin was with him in his final hours and Ron knew he was loved.
Predeceased by his wife, Lorraine (Maclean) and his daughter Susan Deery. He is remembered by his sons, Michael and Kevin (Christine) and his grandchildren, Nicole Deery (Scott), Michael Wilson, Brittany Horlings (Justin), Amanda Robertson (Daniel), and Caleb. He also had 2 great-grandchildren, James and Emery Robertson. Ron is also survived by his sisters, Jeannie Johnson, Karen Cormier, Diane Bourne and Noel Andrews(predeceased). There are fond memories of Uncle Ron by his many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
His passion to be down east in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and PEI has brought much joy to his life. He loved sitting at the coast watching the waves crash on the rocks and having a good plate of lobster, shrimp and mussels. His favourite place to swim was down at The Dingle in Halifax.
Ron is remembered for his ability to bring smiles to many people. He loved to be the life of the party and laugh together with family and friends. For many years he was a professional clown and enjoyed entertaining people with wisecrack jokes, funny puns and riddles. .
Ron loved music! Over the past 10 years he played drums with a garage band that met every Saturday afternoon and played into the late hours of the night. His band friends will definitely miss him in so many ways, including watching him rip up the dance floor on occasion.
Although family, relatives and friends are sorrowful and saddened by his death, we are glad and rejoice that he is free from his limitations and challenges here on earth and know that he is with his Father in Heaven.
While the family wishes you could all be with them in their time of loss, they appreciate your kind words and condolences.
