It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Sue. She will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Sue was a partner and loving wife for 48 years to her best friend, Jim. She was a kind and supportive sister and many times a voice of reason to Deb Lunney (nee Milne). Sue was a wonderful aunt and formed a close bond with Kate, Meg, and Scott. Jim’s siblings Shirley, Pat, Mary, and John along with all their children and grandchildren will all miss Sue, as will her close friends.

Sue thrived as a child growing up in London, Ontario with her loving parents and sister and first beagle, Scamper. Sue’s love for dogs continued throughout her life and she and Jim made a home for each of their beagles. Sue loved her summers on Horseshoe lake, welcoming all including young nieces and nephews to the wonderful cottage life she and Jim so enjoyed.

Her strength, courage, and tenacity are an inspiration to all. Sue embraced life with a positive attitude and was always there for her friends and family. She went out of her way to visit and show support. Sue spent her career passionately working in children’s education. She was giving and generous and supported many charities close to her heart.

Sue will be deeply missed by so many whose lives she touched. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, October 23 at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive, Newmarket. The celebration of life from 1:00 to 4:00 during this time there will be words of remembrance.

If desired, donations may be made to The Kidney Foundation or Mackenzie Health Hospital Richmond Hill.

The family are grateful to the loving and caring staff at Mackenzie Health and send a special thank you for their care and compassion.
