Passed away peacefully at Mackenzie Place in Newmarket on September 15, 2018 in her 82nd year. Loving wife of the late Ian Eric Cameron for 40 years. Beloved mother of Katharine Leaman (David). Proud grandmother of Alan, Elizabeth, Jared and Hailey. Sister of the late Alan Roberts. Jane will be missed by her stepmother Doris Roberts and Stepsister Patricia Allen, and many other “chosen” family members. Daughter of the late Lois Cameron and Ted Roberts. “Robbie” graduated from Toronto East General Hospital in 1960 and worked as a Registered Nurse until her retirement in 1995. She was an associate of the Sisters of St. John the Divine Convent. The family would like to thank the caring staff at Mackenzie Place Long Term Care Home. A visitation will be held at Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Home, 157 Main Street South, Newmarket on Friday, September 21, 2018 from 9 – 11 a.m., with a Memorial Service at 11 a.m. in the Roadhouse & Rose Funeral Chapel. Please join the family for refreshments after the service. As per Jane’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be a private family interment at a later date. If desired, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society of York or SickKids Foundation.
