With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Marilyn Anne Blake (nee Sheppard) on Friday March 1, 2024, at the age of 59. Loving wife of John Blake for 32 wonderful years. Proud mother of Melissa (Alex) and Trevor (Meaghan). Much loved grandmother of Axel, Hunter, George, Maddie, Olivia and bonus grandchildren Damien, Hope, Destiny, Holly, and Harmony. Beloved sister of the late Earl Sheppard (wife Pat) and their children William and Robert; Doug Sheppard and his children Aaron and Marley. Cherished daughter of the late George and Lillian Sheppard.
Marilyn was a Pediatric nurse and well-respected teacher. She dedicated her life to nurturing and caring for others. She will be remembered for her charm and lovability that captivated all who crossed her path. Her infectious personality could light up any room.
Her memory will forever be a source of inspiration, reminding us to embrace life with the same zest and kindness.
The family would like to thank to Marilyn’s dear friends, Wendy Moniz, Sue Keifer, and Colleen Davey for their support throughout the years.
As per Marilyn’s request cremation taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a later date. Service details will be dated once available. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children’s Mental Health Ontario.
