May 8th, 1936 - December 13th, 2022
It is with great sadness that the family announces that on December 13,2022. George Douglas Benight, our loving and dedicated father, grandfather, great grandfather and friend has passed away at Southlake Hospital in Newmarket, Ontario at the age of 86.
He will be forever missed by his children, Richard, Katharine (Glen), Lisa (Graham), Barb (Dale) and Walter (Debbie), his 6 granddaughters and 3 great grandchildren.
He was always a trickster playing jokes when he could and loved watching wrestling, playing cards especially crib and his lobster!
Dad has gone to be reunited with his parents, Sylvia Ellen Johson Benight, and Byron Joseph Benight and twin brother (William ).
As per his wishes there will be no service at this time. Cremation has taken place and a burial in Nova Scotia will take place in the summer.
May you rest in peace Dad, after many health issues over the last several years May you be now be free of pain, and able to breathe the heavenly air. You will be missed dearly. We love you.
