It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Rudolph Bell, on October 25, 2023 at the age of 94 years surrounded by his loving family at Southlake Regional Health Centre. Rudolph was born in Vsoke Myto cast Svaren, Czech Republic, to his adored parents; Frantisek Belohoubek & Bozena Vankova.

Beloved husband of the late Anna Bell (nee Zyder). Loving father to Linda and her husband William Forsyth, and Richard and his wife Amanda. Cherished grandpa to Kandace Elizabeth Forsyth and Collin William Forsyth & Cadence Anna Bell, Connor William Bell, Logan Richard Bell, Lucas Jacob Bell.

Rudy is predeceased by his siblings; Stefan Belohoubek, and Vera Svobodova.

Rudy grew up in Czechoslovakia, where he and his family struggled through World War II during his teen years. After the war he trained to be a tailor in the textile industry. In 1950 he escaped the Iron Curtain into West Germany to start a new life, and subsequently immigrated to Ireland where he spent 2 years with a host family.

In 1952 he immigrated to Canada and arrived in Toronto, again to start a new page of his life. There he met Anna which he married in 1956. In 1964 both Anna and Rudy purchased a lot of land in Muskoka, where they built a small cabin, and later a cottage which is still in use by his family today. In 1966 their first child, Linda was born, and later in 1971, their son Richard.

Rudy loved to hike, go boating, carpentry, and spending time with his family, especially at the cottage. He did many travels with his family as well to the Caribbean in which the family has many memories.
