Passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023 at Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket at the age of 71. Predeceased by his parents George and Louise Alexander. He is survived by his sister Heather-Jane Maurice and her husband Michael, nephews Michel-Jon Maurice, Joel Maurice, Adam Maurice and niece Amy Myers and great-nephews Ethan Myers, Lucas Maurice, Theodore Maurice and great-niece Ivy Maurice. Bill will be greatly missed by his close friends Scott Herrington (Cathy) and Dr. Peter Beaumont (Julia).
As a retired Clinical Nurse Specialist from Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto and Knight of Grace of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem Bill will undoubtedly be missed by the many people he touched in his roles there.
Visitation will be held at Taylor Funeral Home, 524 Davis Drive Newmarket on Sunday, December 10, 2023 from 2:00-5:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will take place in the Chapel on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. with visitation one hour prior from 9:00-10:00 a.m. Reception immediately following the funeral service at the funeral home.
