QMJHL roundup: Ciarlo backstops Drakkar to 6-3 upset over Remparts

Quebec outshot the Baie-Comeau Drakkar 43-22, but the Eastern Conference-leading Remparts couldn't solve netminder Olivier Ciarlo and dropped a 6-3 Quebec Major Junior Hockey League decision to the visitors on Tuesday night.

Vincent Collard, Felix Gagnon, Marc-Antoine Seguin, Justin Poirier, Charles-Antoine Dumont and Matthew MacDonald all scored for the Drakkar (26-30-3-2), who led 2-0 after the first period and 4-1 after the second.

Zachary Bolduc, Theo Rochette and Justin Robidas scored for the Remparts (45-12-1-2).

The Drakkar were 1-for-4 on the power play, while the Remparts went 3-for-9.

WILDCATS 4 TITAN 1

MONCTON, N.B. — The Moncton Wildcats scored two goals in the first period then coasted to a 4-1 victory over the visiting Acadie-Bathurst Titan.

Vincent Labelle, Hugo Marcil, Connor Trenholm and Jonas Taiibel (empty-netter) scored for the Wildcats (30-27-1-2), who outshot the Titan 35-26.

Robert Orr scored a power-play goal for the Titan (17-35-5-3) in the third period.

SAINT JOHN, N.B. — Alex Drover scored three goals and Charlie DesRoches added a goal and two assists as the Saint John Sea Dogs grounded the Cape Breton Eagles 5-2.

Brady Burns also scored for the Sea Dogs (22-36-2-1), who led 1-0 after the first period and 3-0 after 40 minutes.

Cam Squires and Ivan Ivan scored for the Eagles (24-32-3-1), who were outshot 42-38.
