Newmarket Skating Club is skating for gold at the provincial Ice Blitz figure skating competion it's hosting Friday and Saturday at the Magna Centre.
The Skate Ontario-sanctioned competition will draw beginner to senior skaters from across Ontario to take the ice to perform for top marks and a place on the podium in the Star 1-4 series competiton.
You can catch the competion on the Forhan and Pfaff rinks Friday, Feb. 21 from 4 to 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 22 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
