York Region District School Board is seeking public input on its annual budget for the 2022-2023 school year.
Virtual consultation sessions are being held on April 6 and 11 for community members to share how they would like to see YRDSB's budget used.
"Public feedback provides the board with important information about how the community would like to see YRDSB’s budget allocated to better support student achievement and well-being," YRDSB said.
Both virtual sessions are being held at 7 p.m. and community members can register online.
YRDSB has also launched an online survey for budget consultations. You can provide feedback on what your think the board should or shouldn't prioritize.
The survey is available until April 25.
"YRDSB values community input and is working to increase transparency and understanding of the budget process," the board said.
The feedback shared will be used to inform the budget allocation for the next school year.
YRDSB's budget for the 2021-2022 school year was $1,591,532,900.
