You can expect some traffic chaos tomorrow as crews work on the signals at the intersection of Yonge Street and Davis Drive in Newmarket for the VivaNext rapidway project.
Temporary disruptions to the traffic lights will occur between 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10.
Vehicle access to Yonge and Davis will be maintained at all times, and paid duty police officers will be directing traffic until the signals are restored.
What else you need to know:
- The traffic lights will be out of service at the Yonge and Davis intersection during work hours. Expect to see the lights out or flashing.
- At times, there will be curb lane closures around the intersection.
- Bus stops, sidewalks and crosswalks will remain open. If a bus stop, sidewalk or crosswalk is closed, directional signs will guide pedestrians to the nearest open bus stop, sidewalk or crosswalk.
