From now until Aug. 28, you can support your local hospital by returning your empties to The Beer Store in Newmarket, Aurora, East Gwillimbury and Bradford.
The Beer Store empty-bottle returns fundraising program asks residents to donate their empty beer, wine and liquor containers in suppport of Southlake Regional Health Centre at participating stores:
- 1100 Davis Dr., Newmarket
- 16715 Yonge St., Newmarket
- 14800 Yonge St., Aurora
- 15820 Bayview Ave., Aurora
- 18307 Yonge St., Unit 1, East Gwillimbury
- 452 Holland St. W., Bradford
"Southlake Foundation is grateful to The Beer Stores owners and employees who chose Southlake to be the recipient of their community donations," according to a news release. "From groundbreaking procedures and innovative uses of technology to a commitment to the best in patient care, all proceeds benefit Southlake Regional Health Centre."
Since 2020, $116,511 has been raised for Southlake through the bottle drive.
Cash donations are also accepted at participating locations.
