“I am proud to have had the opportunity to be a part of the educational community in York Region,” said director Sirisko. “YRDSB’s commitment to building inclusive, respectful and welcoming learning and working environments that foster student learning, achievement and well-being has been evident. I have been inspired by the passion and dedication of our students, families, staff and community partners.”

“On behalf of the board of trustees, I would like to thank Louise for her leadership and dedication to public education in York Region,” said Chair Allan Tam. “Louise has worked tirelessly on behalf of staff members and families throughout her five-year tenure with our board. She was appointed as director with a mandate to improve community relationships and implement the priorities of the board’s multi-year strategic plan.”
