Weather advisory issued for:
   Newmarket - Georgina - Northern York Region, Ont.

Current details:
Winter weather travel advisory in effect for Sunday.

Hazards:
Lake effect snow bands producing local accumulations of 5 to 10 cm.
Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 3 cm per hour.
Reduced visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Timing:
Sunday morning through Sunday afternoon.

Discussion:
Lake effect snow bands from Lake Huron and Georgian Bay are forecast to move into the area on Sunday.

Motorists should expect hazardous winter driving conditions and adjust travel plans accordingly.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
