Summer has arrived and with it comes the opening of Newmarket’s Gorman Outdoor Pool.

The town announced the accessible pool, at 424 D’Arcy St. in Lions Park, would open for the season June 24, from 1 to 6 p.m. Residents will be able to access the outdoor heated pool until the start of September.

“The wait is finally over,” the town said on social media.

As of July 2, drop-in public swim times will run from 2 to 8 p.m. weekdays, 1 to 4:30 p.m. Saturdays and 1 to 6 p.m. Sundays.

Parent and tot swims for children ages six and under will be 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday and Thursday, as well as 4:45 to 6 p.m. Saturday. Finally, adult swims are reserved for 10 to 11 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.

The town asks residents to ensure they have an Xplor account for a “seamless experience.” The service to register for town programming is available on the town website.
