Videos capture tornado, emotional return to damaged home in Barrie

Natalie Harris, a Barrie city councillor, captured video of the immediate aftermath of Thursday's devastating tornado.

Fortunately, she and her son, Adam, were alerted to the impending storm and fled to the basement. They were not injured, but the roof was blown off the house in one of the hardest-hit neighbourhoods of south-end Barrie.

Below, is a video she shot as she emerged from the basement. Below that Harris shares her emotions and thoughts with BarrieToday reporter Shawn Gibson as she returned to the scene for the first time this morning.
