The drop-in clinic at the farmers market in downtown Newmarket at Riverwalk Commons will be open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 21.
Also on Saturday, a pop-up clinic is being offered at Lake Wilcox, 12895 Bayview Ave., in Richmond Hill from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
The Jaffari Community Centre at 9000 Bathurst St. in Vaughan hosts a clinic from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 21 and Sunday, Aug. 22.
Other upcoming clinics include:
- Monday, Aug. 23, Cineplex Richmond Hill, 8725 Yonge St., 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Monday, Aug. 23, Dufferin Clark Community Centre, 1441 Clark Ave., Vaughan, noon to 7 p.m.
The Pfizer vaccine will be offered at these clinics for first and second doses; pop-up clinics are walk-in and appointments are not required, according to York Region spokesperson Patrick Casey.
York Region is also offering longer-term community hub clinics to ensure individuals requiring a vaccine continue to have access, however, the details are being finalized, he added.
Effective Aug. 23, a community hub clinic will open for appointments only at the York Region Administrative Centre, Great Hall, 17250 Yonge St., in Newmarket.
This clinic will be offering both the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines for first and second dose appointments at york.ca/COVID19Vaccine.
The drive-thru mass vaccination clinic at SoccerCity in Whitchurch-Stouffville closed at today, Casey said, adding, "We extend our collective thanks to Mayor Lovatt, the Town of Whitchurch-Stouffville and the clinic management team for their efforts in operating this successful clinic."
