About 1,400 customers in Newmarket are without power Friday afternoon.
Crews have been dispatched to the scene, according to Newmarket-Tay Power (NT Power). It said the unplanned power outage is expected to last longer than two hours.
The outage appears to be in the north portion of town, in the area surrounding London Road.
Residents in local Facebook groups have commented that they don't have power in the area of Yonge Street and Davis Drive and on several nearby streets, including Septonne Avenue, Main Street North, Longford Drive and Walter Avenue, among others.
NT Power said it will provide more updates as information becomes available.
