For every windshield repaired or replaced until April 30, UniglassPlus in Newmarket will make a donation to provide a hungry child with breakfast.

UniglassPlus has partnered with Breakfast Club of Canada to bring meals to those in need, with its locations across the country donating one breakfast for every windshield job from March 15 to April 30, according to Jody Tomlinson, owner, UniglassPlus Newmarket.

Breakfast Club of Canada reports that, in Canada, two million children start school on an empty stomach, which represents over one in three Canadian children.

Additionally, business closures due to the COVID-19 pandemic have led to a rise in unemployment and poverty, which as increased the number of people experiencing food insecurity across the country.

“It is more important than ever for us to be able to count on the support of important partners in the fight against hunger,” said Marie-Ève Desrochers of Breakfast Club of Canada.

“The rise of food insecurity across Canada, especially among young children, is of great concern. We are grateful to UniglassPlus for their commitment to helping children reach their full potential thanks to a nutritious breakfast.”

UniglassPlus is also collecting customer donations throughout the year, should customers want to join in on the contribution for this crucial cause.
