Thunderstorms could bring hail, high wind gusts

Isolated thunderstorms producing small hail and gusty winds this afternoon.

Isolated thunderstorms, capable of producing wind gusts to 70 or 80 km/h and pea-sized hail, will move through the region this afternoon.

Environment Canada meteorologists will continue to monitor these thunderstorms closely.

Note that Environment Canada's severe thunderstorm warning criteria are 2 cm hail, wind gusts to 90 km/h, and 50 mm of rain in an hour or less.
