If you are a graduating local high school student who is giving back to your community, you have until tomorrow to apply for a $1,000 cash award.
Neighbourhood Network will select the top 20 high school students and present them each with a $1,000 cash prize at a ceremony at Magna’s head office during National Volunteer Week in early April.
Submission for the Give Back awards will be accepted until 4 p.m. Thursday, March 21.
Eligibility requirements include:
- A student who has demonstrated significant initiative and generosity to their community and fellow citizens
- A student graduating from a high school in Newmarket, Aurora, Georgina, East Gwillimbury or King Township
- Must be able to attend the Give Back awards reception at the Magna International head office in Aurora, date to be determined
- All nominations must include a letter of endorsement by a sponsor. The sponsor must be able to confirm the applicant’s community involvement and initiatives, and may not be a family member
- The Give Back awards are for individuals. Applications for a group are not permitted
- May not be a past recipient of the Give Back awards.
