The Splash of Culture is returning to the Newmarket River Walk Commons Sept. 2.

Newmarket residents were eager to see the return of Splash of Culture, selling out the Riverwalk Commons concert after it was announced this week.

The town is bringing back the event to the Riverwalk Commons Sept. 2 after a hiatus last year. The event will feature musical performances from the splash pad. Food is also available with cabaret-style seating, but the show sold out this week after the town made the free advanced tickets available.

"Enjoy listening to three musical performances, under the stars and on the splash pad,” the town said of the event, adding it would provide a "unique vibe."

Splash of Culture started in 2016 and has featured a variety of different musical performers. But the event was cancelled along with other events in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

This year’s event, restricted to people 19 and older, will feature three different singers, including local artist Isabella Tomaso, Jeff Beadle and Stacey Kaniuk.

The event requires an advanced ticket, with limited seating and COVID regulations in place.

More information is available on the Town of Newmarket website
