The Magna Hoedown has united York Region residents to support charitable organizations and raise close to $14 million over three decades. Although the pandemic has prevented the ability to safely gather, Magna remains committed to the spirit and tradition of the Hoedown – uniting neighbours around the common goal of raising much needed funds for important causes.

The new Magna Hoedown Community Fund does just that.

“I think it’s a testament to Magna’s continued commitment to supporting our community that they are not only donating to local organizations during this critical time, but that they have expanded the number of charitable recipients from 20 to 30 organizations this year,” says Erin Cerenzia, manager of Magna’s Neighbourhood Network and chair of the Magna Hoedown committee.

“Our Neighbourhood Network team will also be running some virtual programming for the community to participate in to raise awareness – and hopefully even more donations – for the selected recipients,” she said.
