SOUTHLAKE REGIONAL HEALTH CENTRE FOUNDATION

From Oct. 5 to Nov. 1, the annual LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug MartTM fall fundraising program to grow women’s health is raising critical funds to support leading edge mental health care close to home at Southlake Regional Health Centre.

This year, nine participating locations across Aurora, Newmarket, Keswick and Sutton have chosen to support the Mental Health Program at Southlake Regional Health Centre.

“We are honoured that Southlake has been chosen once again this year as the recipient of this important awareness raising and fundraising program,” says Susan Mullin, President & CEO of Southlake Foundation. “Mental health is a rapidly growing area of need in our community. These funds will make a tremendous impact in supporting vital inpatient and outpatient services and programs that help patients in our communities get the care they need, when they need it most.”

Each fall, this program provides customers with the opportunity to purchase and personalize a LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug MartTM icon, which is prominently displayed on the program tree in all participating stores.

Purchase a “leaf” for $1, a “butterfly” for $5, an “apple” for $10, or a “blue bird” for $50. Donations go directly to local charities to support women’s health initiatives, including the Mental Health Program at Southlake.

“The LOVE YOU Campaign is an opportunity for us to give back to our local community in the most meaningful way possible, while supporting the same shared cause of women’s health as all Shoppers Drug Mart locations across Canada,” says Ken Mo, Pharmacist/Owner of Shoppers Drug Mart #955 in Aurora. “We’re proud to be supporting Southlake’s Mental Health Program again this year. Based on last year’s success, we know that our customers feel as strongly as we do that this is a vital service in supporting women’s health in our community.”

The LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug MartTM fall fundraising program to grow women’s health is a four-week program held across Canada and is one of the leading partnership programs of the LOVE YOU by Shoppers Drug MartTM platform – the Company’s commitment to improving the health of all Canadian women in body, mind and spirit.

National in scope, yet locally based, the annual program offers patients, customers and employees the opportunity to donate directly to the organizations that make a difference in their own communities.

Since 2002, the program has raised more than $38 million for Canadian health charities. In 2019, over 500 women’s health charities across Canada will benefit from the program’s proceeds with 100 per cent of funds staying in the community where they are raised.
