Newmarket-Aurora MPP Dawn Gallagher Murphy is once again inviting seniors to learn about what is on offer in the community for them.

The local MPP will host exhibitors at her annual seniors’ expo June 7. The event at the Newmarket Community Centre and Lions Hall will feature multiple organizations that can offer resources, support and social connection for seniors, along with information sessions and a complimentary tea room.

“The purpose of this event is to connect all the groups who serve seniors in this community,” Gallagher Murphy said of the event in its first year in 2023.

Gallagher Murphy hosted the same event last year in June, with seventeen different organizations represented. Minister of Seniors and Accessibility Raymond Cho also attended.

The goal of the event is to share information about services to seniors in the community.

Information sessions on offer this year include wellness, scams and cyber protection.

The free event will run June 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 200 Duncan Dr.
