Santa Claus received a merry welcome to Newmarket as he arrived at the Holly Jolly Lodge at Upper Canada Mall.
Santa Claus will be listening to wish lists until Dec. 24 Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., and Christmas Eve from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You can support several good causes and bring joy to those in need during the holiday while at the mall.
Furry friends are invited to have their photos taken with Santa and experience the magic of the Holidays at Pets with Paws in support of the Ontario Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Nov. 15, 22 and 29 from 5 to 8 p.m. Reservations can be made on the holiday website.
From Dec. 1 to 21, guests can drop off new clothing, toys, personal items and more for Sandgate Women’s Shelter of York Region. Guest Experiences will be accepting donations at the Upper Level kiosk between Dynamite and Victoria’s Secret.
On Dec. 2 and 3, Holiday Heroes is back this year with York Regional Police, supporting families in the community. They will be collecting gift cards, cash, new toys, children’s clothing and non-perishable food items. Holiday Heroes will be located on the upper level by H&M.
Also beginning Dec. 1, gift wrap services will be available in Market & Co. with all proceeds going to the Southlake Foundation. A photo booth in the vicinity delivers selfie fun while guests wait for their packages.
Meanwhile, starting Dec. 1, the mall will be extending hours Monday to Saturday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., until Jan. 2
John Lemme will be entertaining Dec. 9, 16 and 17, from 1 to 5 p.m.
You can join Newmarket Library for holiday storytime in the new Cozy Reading Nook in Market Court from 11 a.m. to noon Dec. 1, 8 and 15.
