The City of Richmond Hill is hosting a free First Night family-friendly celebration to welcome the New Year on Dec. 31.

Come for a free children’s show from 2 to 3 p.m. inside the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts (RHCPA) on Yonge Street, featuring Jeremy and Jazzy’s own Jeremy Fisher and Aiza Ntibarikure. They’ll perform songs from their popular CBC children’s animated television series that will have kids singing and dancing, according to a city news release.

After the show, take part in a variety of outdoor activities from 3 to 6 p.m. in the RHCPA’s south parking lot, including:
    •    A skating party with a live DJ. Bring your skates and CSA-approved helmets for a free skate on the synthetic ice rink;
    •    Fire performances;
    •    Live performances inside an inflatable party house;
    •    A food vendor offering dinner and dessert options;
    •    And an early countdown following the indoor children’s show with Jeremy and Jazzy.
