You can join the celebration of Richmond Hill’s heritage, architecture, arts and culture at Doors Open this Saturday, May 11.

Doors Open Richmond Hill from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.
As part of the provincewide celebration of community heritage, Richmond Hill is again participating in the Doors Open program to provide residents and visitors with the unique opportunity to explore and enjoy interesting places and spaces. Ten sites across the city are taking part in this year’s tour, including returning favourites St. Mary and St. Joseph Coptic Church, The Richmond Hill Heritage Centre and The City’s Artifact Collection Facility. Welcoming visitors for the first time is Circling Hawk Honey and Mead, Richmond Hill’s only commercial meadery.

The Richmond Hill Business Improvement Area (BIA) joins us this year to welcome Doors Open visitors to explore restaurants, cafés and bars in the Village of Richmond Hill. Visitors can also explore participating sites along the streets of Old Richmond Hill – characterized by Richmond Hill’s churches that have dominated the Yonge Street skyline since the late 1800s:

  • St. Mary’s Anglican Church
  • Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church
  • Richmond Hill United Church
  • Richmond Hill Heritage Centre (Amos Wright House)
  • Richmond Hill Sports Hall of Fame

Parking is available at Elgin Barrow Arena, 43 Church St. South.

This free event is part of Doors Open Ontario, launched in 2002 by the Ontario Heritage Trust. For the complete list of open properties and more information, visit RichmondHill.ca/DoorsOpen.

Studio Tour from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
