Louise Marchione, 68, of Aurora won a $75,000 top prize with Instant Tetris.

Aurora resident Louise Marchione was pinching herself when she first discovered she had won $75,000 with Instant Tetris (Game #2362).

Marchione, a wife, mother and grandmother, said she plays the lottery almost every week. She sometimes plays Lotto 6/49 and especially likes the fun of Instant tickets, according to an OLG news release.

“I never thought this would happen to me,” she said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. “I was just happy playing the game.”

“I’m elated. It’s unbelievable. At first, it was like ‘pinch me,’ but now it’s really setting in,” she added.

The 68-year-old bought her winning ticket at the mall between appointments. “I was looking for a new game to try and was recommended to try Instant Tetris.”

When she returned home, Marchione checked her ticket on the OLG app and learned she had won big.

“I thought I must have made a mistake.”

Later that day, the retiree went to the store to validate her ticket and discovered it hadn’t been a mistake after all.

Marchione was excited to share the news with her husband. “I kept calling him, but he was busy at the time. He had 12 missed messages and thought something was wrong! I was shaking when I finally told him.”

Marchione said she will be conservative with the money, and is considering a family getaway to celebrate.

The winning ticket was purchased at the Ticket Shop on Yonge Street in North York.
