Last week, NewmarketToday asked you, our loyal readers, to join us in supporting the Newmarket Food Pantry this festive season — and your response was nothing short of extraordinary.

During the holidays, an increased number of people are reliant on our local food bank. This increased need means that the Newmarket Food Pantry needs our support more than ever.

NewmarketToday brought our whole community together to help provide that support.

We offered 15 grocery gift cards for purchase through an online pop-up store for $25 each and they were sold within 24 hours!

NewmarketToday and generous local businesses pledged to match every purchase made through the online store, meaning that every purchase was matched five times.

Together, we raised an incredible $2,350 for the Newmarket Food Pantry and delivered 15 grocery gift cards, helping to support those who need it most over the holiday season. Thank you!

Special thanks to the following businesses who have joined us in matching each donation: Eventmrkt, Ghost Taco, Ground Burger Bar and International Safety.

If you didn't get a chance to participate in this program, we encourage you to send your donation directly to the local food bank. You can donate online, call (905-895-6823) to arrange a donation, or click here for more information on how to give back.
