Newmarket is closing a portion of Lorne Avenue between Calgain Road and Davis Drive for two days this week.
Construction will be ongoing in the area between Oct. 6 at 7 a.m. and Oct. 7 at 7 p.m. The road will be closed during that period and will be detoured from Davis Drive to Main Street South, to Water Street and Eagle Street.
The road has been under reconstruction since the spring in segments. The work includes underground infrastructure, as well as replacing sewers, sidewalks and adding bike lanes.
Although area residents have expressed understanding of the work, some have highlighted the difficulties and inconveniences living by a construction site.
