Newmarket’s DoughBox restaurant is celebrating its grand opening by raising funds for Southlake Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, March 6.
Proceeds from the sales of the first 500 pizzas at the wood-fired pizza and pasta restaurant will go to the Newmarket hospital's foundation.
A one-day opening special of $3 for a personal-size cheese or pepperoni pizza is available to first 500 customers from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
A ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11 a.m. will mark the official opening of DoughBox Newmarket, located at 695 Stonehaven Ave., and kick off the day-long fundraiser.
A cheque presentation will also happen that day, with Tony Visca, founder of DoughBox, Unike Patel, Vinny Thakur and Sagar Arora Newmarket franchisee owners and operators, and Catherine Chown of Southlake Regional Health Centre Foundation.
DoughBox Wood-Fired Pizza & Pasta Newmarket, which opened its doors in January 2023, is the brand’s 11th location.
