Newmarket, Aurora residents' toes twinkle for Easter Seals

Pegi Reininger was the winner of the Newmarket/Aurora Dancing with Easter Seals Stars last night

Newmarket and Aurora community leaders took to the dance floor last night in support of children with disabilities.

A sold-out Dancing with the Easter Seals Stars returned to the Royal Venetian Mansion Thursday, Oct. 5, featuring restaurateur Sam Saberi, teacher Pegi Reininger, business owner Raz Khamissa, former Flare Modelling owner Tracee Chambers, Lynnette Lanning of Neighbour, event manager Cortney Cassidy, real estate broker Chris Cartwright, and Market Brewing’s Bill Gianopoulos.

And they have been doing so once again under the watchful eyes of Artistica Ballroom Dance Studios instructors and co-owners Anastasia Trutneva, Kelly Stacey, and Patrick Derry.

Reininger took home the top prize for a dazzling performance.

The event helps send kids to fully accessible camps, allowing for not just fun with their peers, but invaluable opportunities to grow.
