Mei Jiang of Richmond Hill can “find her possible” after winning a Lotto 6/49 second prize worth $274,199.70 in the Jan. 13 Lotto 6/49 draw.

Mei, who works in the finance industry, says she signed up for an OLG account during the pandemic and has been playing the lottery for a couple of years.

"I logged into my account to buy another ticket when I noticed the winning amount. I was so surprised — I couldn't believe it," she shared while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up her winnings. "When my husband finished work, I jumped on him and told him I won! He didn't know what was happening!"

Mei plans to pay off their mortgage and treat herself and her husband to new phones. "I want to celebrate with a really good meal."

"This prize is so great. I feel so lucky," she smiled.

Lotto 6/49 offers players a chance to win two multi-million dollar jackpots every Wednesday and Saturday, for the same $3 per play.

The Classic Draw offers a fixed $5-million jackpot for every draw, while the Gold Ball Draw guarantees a $1-million prize, or the growing jackpot that starts at $10 million and can exceed $60 million. Click here for more information about the new LOTTO 6/49.

The winning ticket was purchased on OLG.ca.
