Aisikowitz, who works in administration, checked her ticket while at the store when she discovered her win.

“The lottery terminal froze, and the clerk told me I won big. I saw the prize amount and it took my breath away. I was so excited to tell my husband. He was so happy he came to meet me at the store. It took some time to sink in.”

She plans to invest her winnings.

“I will let this money grow so it lasts a long time.”

“I am so happy. It’s a wonderful blessing,” she added.

Aisikowitz said she has been playing the lottery occasionally for the past six years.

The winning ticket was purchased at CNIB Kiosk in Walmart on Centre Street in Thornhill.
